Record Abstraction and Data Collection
Abstraction and collection sometimes are the most arduous steps in the quality improvement process. But their importance cannot be overstated. Permedion is able to facilitate medical record abstraction either on-site at a provider location or in our offices – either way, experienced staff will obtain the required data elements. Our experience has enabled us to develop efficient and effective processes and solutions. We offer a variety of collection tools—laptop and scannable—and methods to fit your organization's needs and environment.

Data Management, Analysis and Reporting
Permedion’s epidemiologists and analysts can help you convert collected data into actionable information for reporting or improvement purposes. We also help our clients discover new ways to use and combine existing data sources—using statistical process control, for instance, to identify outliers and opportunities. Typical reports include an executive summary, overview of methodology and study tools, analysis of results, and conclusions or recommendations.

Quality Improvement Interventions
Based on our extensive work with providers and payors, Permedion also offers evidence-based corrective action recommendations. Clinical focus group facilitation also is available to promote practitioner buy-in at this stage. After implementation, we can help you determine the appropriate time spans between intervention, remeasurement, and analysis.
