Reviewer Selection
Under the direction of our Chief Medical Officer, a peer-matched physician is selected to perform each review and provide an expert opinion. For every case, the reviewer must be knowledgeable about the issue at hand through actual, current clinical experience. We can provide a single reviewer per case or a panel of reviewers, when necessary. Also, before assigning a case, we will ensure that our review is conflict-free and unbiased.

Conflict of Interest Protections Each reviewer signs a conflict of interest agreement and cannot review a case that they have previously reviewed or in which they have been involved in any way. They can hold no professional, familial, financial or other relation to any facility, health plan, physician, patient, or drug company associated with the case.

Confidentiality
We do not take lightly the responsibility of handling delicate medical and practice information. We consider a secured facility and communication channels as well as confidentiality agreements with our reviewers to be critical elements of our service.
Quality Assurance
Each review determination is supported by published standards of care and/or accepted treatment guidelines. Upon completion, determinations are reviewed, formatted and archived by our staff. As part of internal quality control efforts, all cases are audited by our Chief Medical Officer. In addition, each reviewer's determinations are periodically scanned for patterns.

Turn-Around Times and Final Reports
Determination turn-around times range from 7 days to 30 days depending on your needs. Expedited reviews can also be performed upon request. We offer several common report formats, but also can customize according to your needs. Typical reports contain the following elements: inventory of all materials reviewed, restatement of the review question, analysis and discussion, conclusions, and references.
